How to be sun smart

List five different things that we can do to protect ourselves from the sun this summer!
Firstly, slip is slip on a long sleeve shirt because if you are out in the hot sun with nothing on, there is a high chance of you getting skin cancer or worst, Melanoma

Secondly, slop is slop on some sunscreen. Try using 15 SPF sunscreen or better yet, try using 45 SPF sunscreen. 15 SPF sunscreen blocks about 94% of the UV rays, 30 SPF sunscreen blocks about 97% of the UV rays, but 45 SPF sunscreen blocks about 98% of the UV rays. So now we know the best sunscreen to use.

Thirdly, slap is slap on a hat. Using a wide brim hat is the best choice to pick because caps only have brims on the front of the hat, which can burn your neck.  Short brim hats have short brims that can hurt your eyes and burn your neck.

Fourthly, there is seek. It means to seek some shade. Shade is important because it protects you from the sun. If there wasn’t any shade or any shelter, your body will be exposed to the UV rays and end up with skin cancer.

Wow - in this hot weather I definitely need to keep reminding myself of how to stay sun smart! You have missed the fifth way that we can protect ourselves from the sun. Ill give you a hint - it rhymes with "hide" and help to protect our eyes from the sun!

Let me know if you think of what the fifth tip is.

    Keep up the great blogging!

    Talk soon,
