🏘️600 Schools closed due🏘️

Two Australian states have called a state of emergency and thousands of residents have been asked to leave their homes.

Officials have confirmed that around 150 homes in the state of New South Wales (NSW) have been destroyed.

At least three people have died and thousands have had to leave their homes in New South Wales and Queensland.

The country’s most populous city, Sydney, has been marked as at “catastrophic fire danger”. Temperatures as high as 37 degrees Celsius are forecast to mix with powerful winds.

It is the first time Sydney has been rated at that level since new fire danger ratings were bought in 2009.

It was a sunny day and Tamaki Primary School had  athletics on the 23rd of november in the morning we went to our colourful house colour and we had face paint,necklaces and colour clothes to match our team colour.Our teams were called Tripoli,Benghazi,Aleiman and Tobrouk and when it was 9:30 o'clock our teams were at the dots and we were chanting to our tents my team was called tripoli.After that we were racing starting from year 1’s to  year 8’s the judges were Miss kelly and Mrs Micic and kelly they were doing the points for our teams.When I was racing I was very nervous and I thought that I was gonna lose .when It was the finals they called out my name and I was very shocked.when I was competing to others I came 5th It was fun and I tried my best. My favourite event was Long jump. It helped me test my jumping skills.

Sun City

The eagle perched. The jaguar stalked. 

The travellers trudged. The vultures soared.

Something amazing was happening at sun city. All creatures great and small were gathering around waiting to see what happens at the moot. 

Sun city was a city in the middle of the desert and still stands today.

It was a city full of terrific sightseeing. It was a place like nothing else. It was dangerous , mysterious and adventurous. 

 It was the annual moot.  A ‘moot’ is a special kind of meeting, usually to make important decisions. 

The people who attended the moot was the king of egypt and his disciples.

King of egypt proclamation was that his son will be the new King.

THe king was very selfish , he would take everything for himself and his family. Leaving the people of egypt hungry and sick.

So when he declared his son to be king everyone was thrilled.

His son was the kindest person you will ever meet.

He was kind and caring person that always put others before him.

His name was King Ramesses II.

Division is dividing /separating.

For example 12 divided by 3 = 4

12 is the dividend , 3 is the divisor and 4 is the quotient.

Here is the problem I am solving.

Miss Ashley has packed 8 first aid kits to take to Camp Raglan. There are 832 band aids to take to Camp Raglan. The same amount of band aids are packed in each first aid kit. 

How many band aids are in each kit?

So, our Decimal System lets us write numbers as large or as small as we want, using the decimal point. Digits can be placed to the left or right of a decimal point, to show values greater than one or less than one.

The decimal point is the most important part of a Decimal Number. Without it we are lost, and don't know what each position means.

Who are the Wright Brothers?

The Wright brothers were American Inventors and aviation pioneers.

They built the world's first successful plane. They made the first controlled, powered, sustained heavier-than-air human flight.

The brothers' breakthrough was their creation of a three-axis control system, which enabled the pilot to steer the aircraft effectively and to maintain its equilibrium. This method remains standard on fixed-wing aircraft of all kinds.

KEA KIDS NEWS

Today the producers from Kea Kids News came to Tamaki Primary. If you don't know who they are , they are kids take the news on tv and change. They do the news from a Kids perspective. Because when kids watch adult news they are bored. So Kea kids News decided to make a kids news. 

25 students from the manaiakalani cluster came to the Kea Kids News tryouts. For example TPS , GBS , PBS and GIS.

IALA: how to move my car and sense an object so it can drive by itself.

Do know a car that can drive by itself?

If you have think about how it does that?

After who have thought about those questions read this.

The Tesla is the only car to drive by itself.

Tesla drive by itself because it is programmed.

My task is to Programme the Robotic car to drive in a square and sense objects like if someone is crossing the road and the car stops on its own. 

I have completed both task and here is my codes to do it.

IALA: how to programme a car.

Today at technology we weren't in Graphics we were in a robotics class with Ms Ferguson and Mr Dunn. 

Learning Outcome: 

Writing a programme that plays music on the mbot.

One of the simplest things that we can do, to make something cool with our robot, is the “Play note” command. One note is just one note, but put the right notes together in the right order and we have a masterpiece.
